Baton Rouge, La. (WAFB) – Hazmat teams respond to diesel spill to the interstate on Tuesday morning, February 4th.
According to the Baton Rouge fire department, the truck has lost some of its load, a bright pole generator causing a 30-liter diesel spill, which extends to 150 yards from St. Louis’s entrance ramp to I-10 to the west.

Officials said it was requested a sand truck to absorb the residual diesel and improve the traction due to the slope and curvature of the lane.
According to the DOTD, the entrance ramp from St. Ferdinand to I-10 to the west is blocked.
The entrance ramp from St. Ferdinand Street to I-10 West remains blocked due to spilled load. The congestion is currently minimal.
