Hialeah, Florida – two Hyalea men have been arrested on numerous charges of crimes related to the sale and possession of fentanyl, illegal drugs and illegal firearms, according to Florida Minister of Law enforcement (FDLE).
Kyle Alexander Lopez, 23-year-old, and 23-year-old Jerrick Taylor, both face serious allegations after state aid for a many fentanyl investigation agency (safe). Lopez has been accused of armed trafficking in fentanyl, possessing marijuana over 20 grams, a major theft of firearms and two pieces for the sale and delivery of cocaine. Taylor is loaded with two pieces each of the sale and delivery of cocaine and fentanyl.
FDL Commissioner Mark Glass emphasized the importance of the investigation, stating: “A death related to fentanyl is one too much. This case is an excellent example of how FDLE and the agents of the safe working group make their diligence so that they do not leave a stone overturned.”
The arrests followed the death of an overdose of fentanyl in the Miami region last year, prompting FDLE agents and a safe working group in South Florida to expand their investigation to identify potential suppliers. The operations conducted by the Working Group have identified Lopez and Taylor as fentanyl and cocaine suppliers.
On March 6, agents of the operational groups, together with the SWAT of the Hyalle Police Department, executed orders to search in two residences in Hyalia. They seized over half a kilogram of fentanyl, a few pounds of cannabis, drug attributes, two firearms, including stolen, $ 5,000 in cash, ammunition and multiple electronic devices.
Taylor was arrested on March 6 in Hyallea and was taken to the Turner Knight Center for TGK. Lopez was arrested on March 11 at the FDLE Miami Regional Operations Center at Sweetwater and was also transported to the TGK detention center.
The case is pursued by the State Prosecutor’s Office, the 11th court chain and remains under an investigation from a federation group of FDLE MIAMI South Florida, with the help of the Hialeah police station.
