A ritual of Santheria, held at the Hyalea Residence, took a deadly twist, exploding into a violent confrontation that led to piercing and shooting, leaving one man dead and two other wounded. The suspect, identified as a 50-year-old Milton Kao, has been convicted of a criminal since May 2012.
The incident included four persons and happened on Wednesday, February 12, around 10:00 pm in a home located on 3905 West 10 court. According to a police report accessible by America, the dispute began when Kao and another man left the house, which led to Kao shooting the man in his feet.
The wounded individual returned inside, grabbed a knife and stabbed a 50-year-old man in his head, as well as his 16-year-old son, who tried to protect his father by receiving multiple injuries to the arm. While the unarmed victim of a rifle tried to leave, Kao fired a few more shots, eventually killed him.
A local neighbor who wished to remain anonymous, told América Teve that the deceased was a young man and that his mother arrived in place to identify his body. “I heard the mother screaming and it worried me. I didn’t sleep,” she said.
The paramedics transported the two injured persons to the nearby hospitals. Local 10 reported that the teenager was taken to the Niklaus Children’s Hospital and is expected to recover. His father, who still had a knife embedded in his head, was moved to Raider’s traumatic center at Jackson Memorial Hospital, where he remained in a critical but stable condition.
Cao is currently being held at the Turner Guilford Knight correction center. On Friday, he appeared in court, against second -degree murder accusations, possessing a firearm by a convicted criminal and possession of cocaine.
