Hoyer adds an assistant to volleyball employees – uncwsports.com

Wilmington, North Carolina – UNCW Head volleyball coach Lo Hoyer advertised the addition of Pete Hoyer to her staff for the 2025 season.

“I am so excited that Pete joined me on the sidelines at UNCW,” Hoyer said. “We share the vision of this program and our coaching styles are complemented perfectly. I know that his expertise will be a huge advantage for our athletes and I can’t wait to see what we can achieve together.”

Pete Hoyer has been bringing over 40 years of coaching experience in the program, including 34 at NCAA level, most recently at the University of Indiana Pennsylvania as an assistant. IUP made three consecutive trips to the NCAA Division II tournament.

Among these 34 seasons at the NCAA level are 12 as a head coach with stops in Dayton and southern Utah. In Dayton. Hoyer published a record of 177-99 for 10 seasons with Flyers and directed the program to a pair of regular titles for the Atlantic 10 season. In 2001, he was recognized as the A10 year coach.

Hoyer also serves staff in the state NC, Idaho, Utsa and Ohio.
