Housing owners gather for inspiration for renovation in Topeka’s home show – Wibw

Topeka, Kan. (WIBW) – Housing owners today did not have a shortage of inspiration for the 62nd annual starting show of Topeka Home.

Nearly 120 suppliers have shown their latest innovations in the reconstruction, improvement and design of the home indoors and outdoors.

“What we had ten years ago or even five years ago is not what we have today,” said Katie Nelson, President and CEO of the Topeka area.

With 4,000 people expected this year, there is no shortage of homeowners, new and experienced, who want to refresh their spaces.

“Fortunately, we have a pretty new house, but it’s always good to see what you can add and see what’s there,” said Jim Ort, a participant in the event.

While online shopping has changed the way people buy, trade exhibitions like this provide something that the Internet cannot.

“Many people say this is a shopping world, but as far as your home is concerned, it’s still a touch and feeling of the world. That is why these trade exhibitions are so important to people. You want to get off, look at it, you want to talk to people. You don’t have to buy a product, buy from a person, “Nelson continued.

The show will be held on Saturday from 9:00 to 18:00 and Sunday from 10:00 to 15:00 at the Stormont Vail Event Center.
