Host Fire in Northeast Topeka causes damage of $ 15,000 – Wibw

Topeka, Kan. (WIBW) – A home fire in the northeastern part of Topeka caused damage to $ 15,000 on Sunday afternoon.

Firefighters from the Topeka Fire Service (TFD) responded to the reported fire at the home of 924 Ne Artter Ave. On February 9th, shortly before 4:30 pm.

When crews arrived, they found strong smoke and flames coming from the house for one and a half and extinguished the fire.

An individual evacuated before the arrival of TFD was treated at a slight injury and the dog was dead as a result of the fire.
