Host fire early on Thursday causes $ 30,000 damage to Hi -Crest Home – Wibw

Topeka, Kan. (WIBW) – The fire overnight caused about $ 30,000 in a home in southeastern Topeka, employees said.

The fire was announced around 12:30 pm on Thursday at the residence of the 307 SE 34th Street in the Hi-Crest city district.

After arriving, the crews found smoke coming from a one -storey house and quickly extinguished the fire.

All home residents have reached safely before the crews of the scene arrive and no inhabitants were located at the house.

No injuries have been reported.

The cause of the fire was referred to as defective wiring.

From a loss of $ 30,000 $ 15,000 were for the structure and $ 15,000 for its content.

The Topeca Fire Service response includes three engine companies, two truck companies and two battalion boss.

The auxiliary agencies included an American medical ambulance, Evergy, Gas Service Kansas and the Topeka Police Department.
