Bangkok (AP) -Hooters, a US-based chain of restaurants, known for chicken wings and Hooters Girls Skimpy Wait-Staff dresses, has applied for bankruptcy.
Hoa’s Restaurant Group filed a proposal to protect Chapter 11 on Monday at the North Texas Bankruptcy Court in Dallas.
The company faces financial woes while its debts are installed, but says it intends to remain open and solve its problems within months. A group of original founders of the company, who own almost one -third of the American Hooters seats, including about half of their largest volume restaurants, are planning to buy and operate more than retail outlets, Hooters said in a news message.

“Our famous Hooters restaurants are here to stay and we take action to strengthen our business to better serve our valuable customers in the long run,” the company said in a notice on its website.
Hooters, based in Atlanta, Georgia, was founded in Clearwater, Florida, in 1983. The problem boils for some time.
Hutters sponsored the No. 9 NASCAR car, driven by Chase Elliott since 2017, but last year Hendrick Motorsports ended its relationship with its long -time sponsor because it does not fulfill its financial engagements.
Her business strategy has been challenged over the years, including lawsuits for hiring only Hooters girls to serve customers.
Last year, she agreed to pay $ 250,000 and to provide other benefits to settling a race for race and color discrimination filed by the US Equal Opportunity Commission against the Hooters output in Greensboro, North Carolina.
In 2022, the restaurant denied allegations that it excluded and rebranded because of the change in customer tastes.
In 2019, Hotel Hotel Casino Hotel near the lane in Las Vegas was sold to an Indian hotel company and rebranded as a hotel and casino OYO.
In 2017, the company tried to open a restaurant that did not include Wait-Staff in narrow peaks as a test for a different approach to its original concept.
