CCSD’s school district (CCSD) is sad to hear about the passage of Theron H. Goynes, namesake of CCSD Elementary School. He was a defender of all life education, who left a lasting heritage in South Nevada.
After serving in the United States Air Force, G -n -Gines began teaching CCSD in 1964. He served the area as a teacher, advisor, coordinator of adult education, assistant director and director and spent 20 years as a city advisor at North Las Vegas. His dedication to our students and community influenced many students in the school neighborhood and members of our community. His long -standing service and commitment to our community led to the honor of name the Teron H. and Naomi D. Gines Primary School, which opened in 2005.
Today, we are expanding our deepest sympathy for his family and the North Las Vegas community, where the Gines family has a huge public service record.
