High School Boys Football: Bosier’s whole place in the title of Division III – Bossier Press -tribune Online

# 3 Bossier Bearkats seeds will strive for a place in the Division III championship match when they take at the University Laboratory # 2 in the semifinals on Saturday in Baton Rouge.

The match is planned to start at 2 pm in the CUB complex.

The boosier is 18-6-2. The university is 19-2-2. None of the program is unknown to success.

Bearkats are in the semifinals for the fourth consecutive year. The university has reached this in the last eight years. CUBS won state titles in 2019, 2020 and 2022.

In 2022, Bosier lost to # 1 seeds Vandebilt Catholic of the semifinals. Vandebilt continued to lose the university in the title match.

In 2023, Bosir defeated St. Louis Catholic 1-0, after which he lost to Willow’s 4-1 school in the Championship match.

Last year, Bearkats fell on Willow 1-0 in New Orleans. Willow beat the university 2-0 to win his second right title.

Neither Bearkats nor Cubs should be worried about Willow this season. The lions moved to Division II this season. They lost to the quarterfinals.

Bosier beat No. 30 Buckeye 8-0, No. 14 ParkView Baptist 4-0 and No. 6 St. Louis Catholic 3-2 in Playoffs. Bearkats have only lost once in their last 12 games.

The University has defeated No. 31 Opelousas 8-0, No. 15 Morgan City 5-2 and No. 7 Ed White 3-0.

The cubes won nine of their last 10. Both losses were on Isidore Newman 6-1 on January 4 and Baton Rouge 3-1 on January 13. Newman is in the semi -finals of Division IV. Batton Rouge lost in the second round of Division I.

In the other semi-final of Division III, No. 1 Loyola (19-2-6) is confronted with Archbishop Hanan (10-10-3). Loyola and Bosier are both in district 1. Archbishop Hanan upset another member of district 1, No. 4 Sterlington, 2-1 in the quarterfinals.

The National Championship match is Wednesday at 5:00 pm at the SLU Strawberry Stadium in Hammond.
