A young teenager has been arrested for the second time in Hialeah, this time for stealing valuables from several vehicles.
Hector Francisco Guifaro is back in the hands of the law after detectives found his fingerprints on the interiors of at least five stolen vehicles on the city’s west side.
Walking his pit bull and wearing a white hoodie to conceal his identity, Guifaro was filmed searching unlocked vehicles to steal valuables.
After a persistent investigation, detectives identified Guifaro’s fingerprints on the cars.
Just a week earlier, the young man had been arrested for stealing a gold chain from a woman around midnight on First Avenue and 17th Street in West Hialeah. The judge then set bail at $5,000 and house arrest.
Neighbors in the area expressed their dismay at what happened, while authorities are asking residents to always make sure their cars are properly locked before going to bed.
