23-year-old Elkin Abner Sauseda is charged with a crime after his arrest shortly after 12:30 on Tuesday.
According to an arrest report by the Hyalea Police Department, the crash happened around 11:15 pm Sunday night in the 100 block on West 12th Street.
Police said they had arrived at the scene to find the wounded passenger of Sauseda, lying “in the middle of the street” with a knee injury; She was later taken to Hyalea Hospital.
