A Hesperia man is accused of stealing property from renovated homes in Riverside County, San Bernardino County Sheriff’s officials said.
At 8:48 a.m. Monday, deputies arrested Pablo Marquez, 55, for an alleged theft of property at his home in the 7300 block of Salem Avenue in Hesperia.
Multiple newly remodeled homes in the Murrieta and Temecula communities were reported burglarized at Edgewood Homes of Redondo Beach, authorities said. Each of the homes was outfitted with new Whirlpool kitchen appliances valued at $3,700. The set includes a dishwasher, refrigerator, stove and microwave.
On Saturday, October 19, a vacant home on Chauncy Way in Temecula was burglarized and a Whirlpool appliance set was stolen. Sheriff’s officials said they contacted deputies because the items were believed to have been transported to High Desert.
Investigators found the stolen items at the suspect’s home after serving a search warrant on Marquez. The stolen items were found in a van on the property, deputies said.
Marquez was arrested and booked into the High Desert Detention Center in Adelanto. He was released Wednesday, sheriff’s records show.
