Over the weekend, Lubbock saw one of its iconic steakhouses close its doors for good without notice, leaving many questioning why it did so.
On Oct. 26, Lubbockites arrived at the restaurant only to find the door locked and a sign that read, “Thank you for being a loyal customer. Unfortunately, this establishment is PERMANENTLY CLOSED.’
The public poured into social media with mixed emotions about their experiences and memories of the steakhouse that has served Lubbock for the past 25 years.
However, the reason why it closed suddenly and without warning was never given.
The Avalanche-Journal contacted the restaurant asking this question and received the following statement:
“For over 25 years, Logan’s Roadhouse has proudly served the Lubbock community. After careful evaluation of the market, we have made the difficult decision to close this location on October 26th. It has been a privilege to be a part of this great city, and we thank our loyal guests for their support.”
Logan’s is the third business to close this week, with Woody’s Pizza, Grill & Pub at 3135 34th St. and Malouf’s at 8201 Quaker Ave.
