Democratic presidential candidate Kamala Harris will visit to host a Get Out the Vote rally in Allentown the day before the election, according to her campaign.
Sociologists say the Lehigh Valley is a key region in a key state to secure the Oval Office. Harris and Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump plan to visit the Keystone State before the election. Trump plans to visit Reading on Monday, according to the Associated Press.

Their visits are expected to snarl local traffic from 1 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday, according to Pennsylvania State Police.
Police are expecting traffic delays and intermittent road closures on Airport Road in Hanover Township, Lehigh County; Route 22 west; Cedar Crest Boulevard; Tilghman Street in Allentown; Route 309 and Route 61 in Berks County. Nearby roads are likely to be affected, police said.
The Allentown School District will close schools Monday in anticipation of Harris’ visit.
“This event is expected to attract large crowds, heavy traffic and potential disruptions that may affect the safety and security of our students and staff,” the school district said in a statement. After school activities are also cancelled.
After visiting Allentown early Monday afternoon, Harris will visit Pittsburgh and Philadelphia later Monday, her campaign said. Trump also plans to visit Pittsburgh on Monday, the AP reported.
The race is tight.
A Muhlenberg College/Morning Call poll released Sunday showed Harris with a narrow lead over Trump among Pennsylvania voters: 49 percent to 47 percent.
Election day is Tuesday, November 5.
