Mecum’s next auction is set to include one of the boldest Dodge Demon Builds so far-1972 has been transformed into a modern power plant. Built over an annual process, completed in October 2024 by Jeremy Bumpus from the hot stick store, this Resto-Mod mixes the vintage styling of muscle cars with today’s high-performance engineering.

At the heart of this beast is a 7.0-liter (426 cubic inch) HEMI® HELLCAT V8, built by the legendary engine builder Ray Barton. Improved by a custom Comp Cam, THIS PORTED Heads and Metco reels, this power plant provides brutal performance. Southern Hotrod War Viking Max 8-speed automatic transmission and a 3600 rpm converter guarantee that all this power effectively hits the flooring.

The chassis is fully upgraded with Alterktion winding system, RideTech adjustable windings and Lynx rear suspension, which makes this demon handle far better than any model from 1972 They give an aggressive position while the Mancini Racing Headers and a custom tune guarantee that this Hemi breathes appropriately.
