Heb is partnered with the 100 Black Men from Western Texas for a 30th anniversary scholarship -FOX 34

Lubbock, Texas (KCBD) -Heb partnered with the 100 black men from the Western Texas organization for its 30th anniversary scholarship gala.

As part of his partnership, Heb has donated $ 30,000 to the organization’s scholarship. This year, Gala is at 6:30 pm on June 21 at a hotel and Overton Conference Center.

The purpose of the organization is to support the educational aspirations of future leaders who will raise the community.

The President of the Western Texas Head, Reggie Dial, wants to emphasize what partnership, like what he has with Heb, means not only students to receive scholarships but also others.

“Do you know what? It is not so much for us and what we get, but for what the community can be able to get out of it. The value that these young people may be able to get out of it. They will be able to continue their education, you know, with these funds. Experience your dreams. So, it’s not so much about the 100th, it’s about what we can provide to our community, “Dial said.

Since its inception in 1963, the head of Western Texas from the 100 has awarded over $ 630,000 scholarships and has mentored over 1500 young people at risk.
