Valve, known for its portable Steam Deck console, works on a new device that is supposed to be a competitor to PlayStation and Xbox. According to the Insider Extas1s, the new console known under the Fremont code project will be a stationary device designed for use with a TV.

Here’s what we know

According to leaks, Project Fremont will have an HDMI CEC port that will allow you to control the device using the TV remotely. The console will be built on the AMD Lilac hardware platform, which will twice provide the processor power and four times a powerful graphics compared to Steam Deck.

The Valve strategy is to enter the stationary console market, which is dominated by Microsoft and Sony, as well as in the multimedia market. The new console is expected to be available, approximately in the range of 200 to 300 euros.

But do not forget that all rumors should be taken with grain salt.
