Hartford, VT. (WCAX) – Firefighters carefully monitor a home fire in Hartford as strong winds complicate Firefight.
Just after 5 on Monday night, the Hartford Fire Service received a Valley View Road fire.
When they got there, they found a home with an attached garage swallowed up by flames.
Firefighters used a nearby pond and savage water from municipal hydrant to expose it.
Three cats were rescued from the building, but the first reactive ones say other pets may have died.
Fortunately, no injuries have been reported.
The reason for the fire is currently under investigation.
