Harry attended the Invictus Games closure ceremony in Whistler – Irvine Times

The founding patron of the games is present at several events throughout the week, including an indoor rowing event on Sunday, where Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau joined him.

Earlier in the week, Harry joined the Team UK friends and family in a wheelchair rugby match, where the UK took home a silver medal.

The closure ceremony also marks the official broadcast of the 2027 Invictus Games host Birmingham.

Harry has participated in Invictus games – a sports event for an early, ill and early official staff – since it was launched in 2014.

The Duke also received a special gratitude from G -N Trudeau during the closure ceremony.

“To the Duke of Sussex, Prince Harry, without whom these Invictus games would never happen,” he told the “Sarving Crowd”.

“You are the one who turned this incredible idea into reality.

“Like someone you roped at the beginning of my time as a Prime Minister, I can testify to the energy, the dedication, the commitment that this person has to you and to this ideal.”

The UK captains Stephen Hups Hooper, Neil Thomas and Jemma Barnes received the official flag to mean the exchange from Wistler and Vancouver in Birmingham.

The accents of the games included a veteran’s proposal from the British Army James Cerns to the girlfriend Hannah Wilde on the first day of the wheelchair basketball.

More than 60 UK veterans attended the first Wistler and Vancouver Winter Games.

G -Huper, a RAF veteran, said he had spent a “great” week in Whistler and Vancouver.

“From suggestions to PBS, we enjoyed stunning nature and made memories to continue all our lives,” he said.

“We arrived in Canada, full of expectation -we leave stronger, bolder, more resistant and closer than ever until our recovery. We are proud to carry games at home in Birmingham in ’27. “

The Minister of Veterans and People Al Kons said he was already striving for the trip forward.

“Many of us, especially those who served in Iraq and Afghanistan, have returned to Birmingham for treatment at Queen Elizabeth’s hospital, playing a key role in their recovery,” he said.

“For them to return to Birmingham and participate in the next games, they will end their trip to recovery.

“Invictus games are not only for courage, but to continue the service for people who are given the opportunity to serve and represent a state again.”
