Harriet Evenon, 94 – Port City every day

Wilmington – Harriet Shane Avanson died in Fairfax, Virginia on the morning of January 29, 2025, after a long illness. She was born on October 18, 1930 and grew up in Wilmington, North Carolina. Harriet resides in Arlington, Virginia, the bigger part of her life, where she and her husband are part of the Arlington School System.

Her late parents were Solomon and Mary Brownstein Shane. The love of her life was her deceased husband Jerome Jack Evenon and her deceased son Alan Michael Evenon. In addition, Harriet was preceded by her brothers/daughter -in -law, Jerome Shane (Elsie Shane) and Robert Bonnie Shane. In addition, she was preceded by her daughter -in -law Sam and Rebecca Wolfe Evenon, Zet, Norman and daughter -in -law Janet Rabunski Avenson.

Harriet survived two nephews, namely Rosel Evanson Margolis and Debra A. Evenon and their elderly children.

Funeral grave services will be held at the B’Nai Israel Cemetery, 307 North 18th Street, Wilmington, NC 28405 on Sunday, February 2, 2025, at 12:30.

After the internsity, Shiva will be held in the synagogue of B’Nai Israel, 2601 Chestnut Street, Wilmington, NC 28405.
