The Legend of Sayer Hicks is the second edition based on The Devil’s Stone, a central feature of the landscaped area outside the council offices in Crook town centre.

It is believed to be more than 10,000 years old and is called the Devil’s Stone because it is said that if you run seven times around it, the devil himself will appear.

The local legend is the central premise of the franchise.
