Charmco, W.VA. – The couple of GreenBrier County is facing accusations of tearing an elderly woman, fraudulently invading her and her late husband’s bank account.
State police began the investigation on January 8, when fraudulent activity was opened at the expense of 82 -year -old Jane Bugs of Charmco, W.VA. And her already deceased husband George Boggz. During the investigative troops, it was determined that Stephen Simpson, 40 years old, from Charko and Ashley Simpson, 34 years old, carried out construction work at the Boggess House.
According to the criminal complaint, the Simpsons used the route number from one of the checks used to pay their services to make fraudulent payments from the Boggess account. The activity went unnoticed until the account was transferred.
Troopers say the activity lasted from August 2023 to December last year and during that time approximately $ 36,000 was stolen.
