NEWAYGO – The Grant Boys Basketball Team won a 63-36 command of a Fremonth of the Outigo County Showcase on Saturday.

The tigers opened at 20-7 runs in the first quarter and led 37-11 at halftime.

The tiger led 46-24 with a quarter to play.

“It was not our best game, so we didn’t reach our goal to improve every day,” said Grant Dan George coach. “We are still working to fulfill any possession and my boys will continue to pursue excellence.”

Zaiden Phillips on the Tigers led with 20 points, and Ethan Delong scored 11 points. The sincere Luke threw himself into 10 points.

Mossen Green led Packers with nine points, while Brayden Crosley and Cuyler Cook Hansen chip in six and five points respectively.

Grant (14-2, 7-0) will visit Montague on Tuesday.

Fremont (4-12, 2-6) hosted Western Michigan Christian on Wednesday.
