A woman from Baton Rouge Tail stolen a rental car in another vehicle when she was shot dead to death on January 19, according to police.
48 -year -old Latasha Thomas called the police after a group of suspected rented car from their alley, police in Baton Rouge said. As she was driving her own vehicle to the store with her grandson shortly after, she saw the stolen rental car. Thomas called the police and tried to help them find the stolen vehicle as she followed it.
While she was packing the stolen car suspected of a vehicle shot in Thomas’s car in Planck Road’s 3700 block. She was struck and killed, police said.
Later, the stolen rental car was restored, but it was burned.
During the subsequent investigation, a 14-year-old suspect in minors went to the police with his mother and joined. He was arrested and reserved for second -degree killings and illegal weapons.
BRPD is looking for information about two or three other suspects who are also thought to have stolen the car for rent.
