Governor Jeff Landry on Monday formally called the Louisiana Legislature into special session on tax reform.
The special session will begin on November 6 and end no later than 6 p.m. on November 25.
“This special session fulfills the promise we made to the people of Louisiana to rebuild our economy and make Louisiana a place where people want to raise families and create jobs,” Landry said in a statement.
Landry recently proposed tax reform package in Louisiana includes 10 bills aimed at modernizing and simplifying Louisiana’s tax system while stimulating economic development.
last week RESET Louisiana— a nonpartisan collaboration between the Committee of 100 for Economic Development, the Council for a Better Louisiana and the Louisiana Public Affairs Research Council — released its analysis of the tax reform package.
