Governor Kelly issues the state of disaster emergency proclamation for winter storms – Wibw

Topeka, Kan. (WIBW) – Governor Laura Kelly has issued a verbal state of emergency disaster at 8:00 Sunday due to the predicted winter time to influence the state starting on Monday.

This declaration allows us to use resources to provide state aid, more special refusal from hours of service to proplies of proposal.

Two rounds of snow are expected, one Monday on Tuesday and the other Wednesday on Thursday.

If you need to travel, inform someone about your travel plans and make sure your car has a full gas tank during extreme cold situations so you can stay warm if you get stuck.
