Wilmington, NC (WWAY) – Several local organizations have joined today for meaningful driving a coat aimed at providing winter coats for children in need.
Parkway Subaru, Operation Warm and The Good Shepherd Center have joined their efforts to collect and distribute about 500 coats during the regular grocery event to Good Shepherd.
Megan Verdi, with the center of Good Shepherd, shared how community partnerships are like those who make a difference:
“Wilmington is such a philanthropic place and so many people are ready to help. We just have to make sure that people know what is available – like today’s driving on the coat. Partnership with other non -profit organizations and enterprises at Wilmington is so important to us. “
Diving the coat was an event asked without questions, without requiring pre -registration. The coats were distributed on the basis of the first place, the first service.
