Glendale man hospitalized after apparent domestic violence shooting; woman arrested – FOX 10 News Phoenix

Shooting in Glendale on Tuesday evening took a man to the hospital and the police department says it appears to be domestic violence related.

The shooting took place near 66th and Glendale Ave on October 22 shortly after 7:30 p.m

“Our officers arrived quickly and found an elderly male with a gunshot wound. Our officers administered life-saving measures and the victim was transported to the hospital for further care. This victim is expected to survive,” said Glendale Police Officer Moroni Mendez.

An unidentified woman was arrested and police say she and the victim appear to know each other.

The shooting is under investigation.

The ministry says the shooting is coming in October Domestic Violence Awareness Month.

The saying “Love shouldn’t hurt” was echoed by the department as it is the motto of Glendale Family Advocacy Center.
