Glendale Church hosts a concert of Eaton Fire Relief – ABC7 Los Angeles

Glendale, California (KABC) – It was a night filled with great music and it was a great cause. The tickets were sold for the I Love La concert Eaton Fire Relief at the Presbyterian Church Glendale.

The church has partnered with Bell Choir Studios and several musicians to play a show to take advantage of Sweet Relief, a non -profit purpose offering musical instruments and supplies to musicians who have lost everything.

“The musicians are affected exactly as any other and many people have lost precious instruments and the ability to record and concerts have descended,” says Steve Weiyb, senior pastor of the church.

“So this is our way of contributing in the middle of this disaster with what we know and how we can fix things if we can.”

The approximately three -hour show was presented by SID the Cat and the tickets were sold in 24 hours.

The long line included Andrew Bird, bright eyes and a delicate Steve to name a few. Participants say that Sid Cat has always had a point to raise fellow artists.

“Their mission has always been to create a community through music, so I think to make sure the musicians are returning to their feet are really critical,” says Chris Torres, a participant in the Alhambra concert.

About 900 guests filled the Presbyterian Church of Glendale. Tickets were $ 100 per person and all revenues were directly benefited from the musicians affected by the fire.

“We are excited, so many incredible artists are shown as a good cause,” said Doik Carrie, another participant.

“There is nothing more good than hearing music, knowing that ticket prices do not go to great cooperation, will fire relief and help the people who need it.”

“For the church to use its space in this way for the community, the way this church is connected in the community and is ready to serve and open its space, it is quite special,” says Rob Mutia, a participant in the concert who lost Home in Altadan.

“That talks a lot about people here.”
