Glendale, AZ (January 27, 2025) – A pedestrian tragically died after being hit by a vehicle late on Sunday morning near the 59th Avenue and Deer Valley Rd. Glendale’s police said the incident happened shortly before 11:00

The emergency responders rushed to the man at the hospital with life -threatening injuries. Despite their efforts, he later succumbed to his injuries. Authorities have not yet released his identity in anticipation of notification to family members.

The participating driver remained at the scene and cooperated entirely with the investigators. Police have closed the road section from the top of Pinnacle to Melinda Lane to facilitate the investigation, advising drivers to use alternative routes.
