From Gilbert Public Schools
The first GPS College & Career Fair will be held at 6pm on Monday, October 28th at Gilbert High School.
This event offers an opportunity for students from all our high schools to connect with a range of educational institutions and industry professionals in one place.
Each of the GPS high schools hosts a college and career fair on their campuses, but this district-wide event brings together more schools and businesses. Students will have access to a greater variety of opportunities to explore their interests and potential career paths.
While at the GPS College and Career Fair, students can expect to meet academic advisors and industry professionals from:
- 51 colleges and universities from both state and out-of-state schools, including junior colleges;
- 10 vocational schools in fields such as aviation, healthcare, technology and others;
- 25 local organizations and businesses, including the Maricopa County Sheriff’s Office, Dignity Health, financial institutions and other local businesses;
- Post-secondary finance experts like Benji from FAFSA and the College Finance Coach.
To help students navigate the College and Career Fair, the StriveScan app will be available to all attendees. This tool allows students to select their areas of interest, track their connections with potential employers and academic advisors, and access information about tables they were unable to visit during the fair.
All GPS students interested in learning more about their options after graduation should register for the College and Career Fair through StriveScan.
Students can sign up while in school or by visiting StriveVisit.com. Parents can register their students by visiting StriveScan.com.
