Gilbert pointed to the Bob Brusie Award Top 10 Candidate – Athletics at Iowa State University

Springfield, Massachusetts – Iowa Senior Gilbert Cashon is one of the 10 players listed in the Bob Coursy Award Monitoring List at the end of the season. Gilbert and Western Virginia Javon Small are the only two players from the Big 12 conference on the list.

Gilbert an average of 15.2 points, 4.5 assists, 3.7 rebounds and 1.4 thefts per match this year. He is one of only 12 players in the country who has hit these estimates this season. He scored the season 24 points twice this year, entering victories over Dayton (November 26) and No. 5 Market (December 4). Gilbert shoots 50.9 percent of the floor and 32.7 percent of the city center, as he leads No. 3 Cyclones to a record 17-4 this season.

The annual Bob Brusie Award, named after the 1971 Class Hall, and former Boston Celtic and the Holy Cross guard, celebrates its 22nd year, emphasizing the greatest guard in Basketball for Men’s College of Division I.

In March, the top 10 list will be narrowed to only five, and at the end of March, the five finalists will be presented at the Committee for Selection of the Hall of Fame, where the winners will be selected. The Bob Coursy Selection Committees are made up of the best men’s basketball staff at the College, including Media members, the main coaches, the sports information directors and the famous hall.

The winner of the cousin award 2025 will be awarded on a certain date, along with the four other members of the men starting at five. Additional awards, which are awarded, include the Jerry West Award, the Julius Erving Award, the Karl Malone Award (Power Forward) and the KAREEM ABDUL-JABBAR (Center) Award.
