Gilbert Man dies parachuting in Pain County – newspaper

A 46-year-old man from Gilbert died Saturday after a “heavy landing” during a parachute, police in ELO said.

ELOI police officers responded to Hannah and Tweid after reports of a “parachutist who was experiencing a heavy landing” and found Sean Bowen, who died from his injuries.

Preliminary information shows that Bowen has jumped around 11:40 am February 1, using a “wing type apparatus,” Elo’s Facebook police said.

“During the free fall, for reasons that remain unknown at that moment, his parachute does not unfold, which led to a fatal impact.”

Investigators interviewed witnesses on Saturday afternoon while coordinated with the Federal Aviation Administration.

The service of the Medical Examination of Pinal County will autopsy this week, employees said.

The incident on Saturday happened a week after a woman died in Elo.
