Susan Vanjiku, who is still struggling to put up with the death of her husband, told the moment the hospital called her to inform her that an emergency had happened.

Speaking to NTV, the widow said she was told to rush to the Kenya National Hospital and after her arrival was said to the shocking news that her husband had been killed while he was in the hospital bed.

“After arriving, a doctor took me aside and told me that Gilbert had been killed. I was wondering how such a thing could happen in such a large hospital. I continue to wonder how none of the patients in the ward had heard,” she said S

She said the whole ward has seven patients.

“I had to identify the body. The whole bed was bloody. We just want justice. We took him to the hospital, thinking it was safe. We just wanted him to improve,” she said.

Susan said her husband’s illness had started in 2018, adding that she had struggled to collect the medical accounts as she wanted her husband to improve.

KNH spoke after the murder of Gilbert Kinuua

As reported, patients and employees at the Kenyata National Hospital (KNA) were left in shock after a patient recognized in one of the wards was found dead in his bed.

Hospital officials said the patient was found brutally killed and his throat was cut off after an intruder had access to the hospital.

The CEO of the Kenniath National Hospital in William Sigiya confirmed the incident, expressing sadness.

He added that the hospital in collaboration with the police had launched an in -depth internal investigation to determine the circumstances of the patient’s death.

“We are deeply saddened to confirm an incident related to the tragic death of a patient at the National Hospital in Kenya. Our thoughts and prayers are with the family during this difficult time,” said Sigilay’s statement in part.
