Gilbert Earl “Gib” Beatty – Z93 Country

G -n Gilbert Earl “Gib” Beatty of Obani, Kentucky, died at the Obani Medical Center, on Friday, January 31, 2025, with 88 years, 11 months and 30 days. He was born in Birdstown, Tennessee, on Saturday, February 1, 1936, the son of Haskel and Ruby (Doudy) Beatty. He was retired by the US Navy, a Christian and a hidden member of the Maupin Church. In addition to his parents, he was preceded by his death by his siblings, Charlene Reeder, Ward Mulins, Grady Beatty, Nell Zahari and Larry R. Beatty. He survived his wife Peggy (Pierce) Beatty, whom he married on Monday, December 22, 1958, his son Michael (& Charlotte) Beatty of Albany, Kentucky, his siblings, Jim Beatty of Vartburg, Tennessee, Byrdstown, Tennessee, Brenda Jung from Tampa, Florida, Sue Klein from Nashville, Tennessee, JC Beaty from Tallahassee, Florida and Faye Sloan from Anderson, Indiana, Chelsea Ballanger and Nikolai Williams.

The funeral service will be held on Wednesday, February 5, 2025, from 11:00 cst in the chapel of the Memory of the Campbell-Ni Funeral House with Bro. David Startns and Brato. Greg Wells serves. The family will receive friends on Tuesday, February 4, 2025, after 5:00 pm CST and again on Wednesday morning from 6:00 to the funeral hour. The funeral will be in the Peelolia Cemetery in Clinton County, Kentucky.
