Kenneth Gilbert Ajai, the Minister of the Minister of Work, Housing and Water Resources, has promised to work closely with the private sector, international organizations and key stakeholders to provide financing and experience to revive the housing sector of Ghana.
In his verification to the Committee for the appointment of parliament on January 28, Mr. Ajei pointed out the critical role of public-private partnerships (PPP) to address the country’s housing challenges.
He emphasized the need to attract investment and use experience to stimulate sustainable development in the sector.
“Considering the possibility, I will use public-private partnerships to attract private sector investment and experience,” he said. “I would also partner with key participants and international organizations to support the housing sector.”
G -n Ajei also emphasized the importance of the regional housing policy for the provision of homes on affordable prices, especially in rural areas and underestimated areas.
“Regional housing policy is commendable because it brings homes at affordable prices for people living in the regions and our rural areas,” he explained. “If we continue with the regional housing policy, it will help a lot.
“Most people want to retire to their villages, but the problem is where will they stay? If we have this policy, this is something that would have a significant change. “
The project minister is again committed to dealing with Ghana’s housing deficit and ensuring that citizens, regardless of their location, have access to accessible and sustainable housing.
