Boise’s future looks bright thanks to the incredible young people who work to strengthen our community. In partnership with T-Mobile, Patch is proud to draw attention to future leaders such as Sherlin Messilas Bessera, who have a positive influence in and around Boise.
Sherlin, who graduated from the High School of Sofia in 2024 in Boisi, is an exceptional leader who makes a significant contribution to his community and the world as a whole. She founded the Boys head of future Spanish speaking leaders of America (FHLA) during her second year, serving as president and raising $ 500 in support of FHLA activities.
Sherlin also received recognition for his participation in the Climate Justice League of Sierra Club Idaho Chapter, winning both the Youth Climate Justice Leadership Award, and the Emerging Changemaker Award Award in 2024, as a passionate relevance, And he contributed to her talent in art and writing, while maintaining her humble and kind behavior.
Sherlin’s academic aspirations reflect her deep commitment to help others, as she plans to pursue psychology or health sciences at college, hoping to attend a higher education institution. As a first -generation student, she expressed her strong desire to indulge in the next generation by setting up her own scholarship fund in the future.
