Dubline Andy (33) admits that when he saw the Donor Donor of Sperm, the man with 1000 children, that he “scared the life of me” and he decided to find out how much he had gave birth so far.
Andy explains on the first RTé dates that he was 25 years old when he received a farm in Australia for five months, after which he moved to Sydney for a while.
“I donated sperm in Australia. I was very surprised that someone even got my suggestion, “he laughs.
Andy had to meet Renault on their date
“I can never use my own semen to have biological children so that I can give it to someone else and allow someone else to have a family was just something selfless that I couldn’t go through.
“I had seen so many of my friends fighting through IVF, I was like” I’m now part of someone else’s trip. “
But Andy was alarmed when he watched Netflix’s documentary about Jonathan Meyer, a Dutch YouTuber, who is thought to have given birth to more than 500 children.
“He frightened the living life from me,” Andy exclaims, adding that unlike most sperm donors that have not been paid.
“So I had to contact them [the clinic] And find out if there was an update. There were five children at the first update. I think there are seven right now and there will be eight. “

There is also a restriction on the amount of children he can father.
“It can only be used by four families and these four families can only have three children,” he says.
And there is also no personal contact.
“This is a drawn line, I’m not a father, I’m a sperm donor and that’s it. There is no contact, “he points out.
He says that the children who participate can understand at the age of 18 who their biological father is.
“If they are something like me, I think they would be a little curious and would like to understand,” he smiles. But he adds with laughter: “I think if someone called me Dad, I would be like” No! “
Andy’s date on the show is the South African Renault Malidis (38), who has lived in cork in the last five years.
“The whole story with the sperm donor was good. Trying to help other people … It’s really nice, it’s hot to be honest, “Renault says.
Both men play for gay and inclusive rugby teams, Andy for emerald warriors in Dublin and Renault for Cork Hellhounds.
“I can’t remember the last time I was talking at a bar,” Andy complains.
“I think this kind of world fades over time. People do not have this human relationship where they would probably go up. I’m probably the same. There is also this little nervousness. “
He would like a partner who is “kind of sports or outdoors”. “I don’t think vain would be the right word. I’m just waiting for this good relationship, “he says.
Renault also has problems finding the right person.
“I like to go to different cities and go to Tinder and spend and see how many people I like back. It’s always good if there are many likes: “Yes, people like me!” But they never go anywhere, “he groaned.
“My roots are from Greece. I’m Mediterranean, so for some reason I’m not in boys who look like a little.
“The bigger part of my life I was quite single, so I knew myself quite well. I also do not judge anyone or something. I’m very open.
“I start to like someone and then they start to like it too much. Then I start getting a pretty claustrophobic one. I think this is because I was a single bigger part of my life, but I work on it. “
