Gas line hit the depot in Birmingham – WBRC

TRUSSVILLE, ALA. (WBRC) – Natural gas disposal was hit at the East Birmingham depot of Alton Road on Tuesday afternoon.

The TRUSSVILLE Police Department says they have received multiple calls for a strong explosion near the Magnolia Heights division.

The Birmingham firefighters and rescue services responded to the scene around 16:01 after receiving reports of gas.

A representative of southern natural gas provided the following statement on the incident.

Authorities say there is no danger to residents.
