The enemy

Where are they from? Salt Lake City, Utah

Series History: Western Virginia and Utah have been confronted six times in their history, with Utah holding a 6-0 series lead. The two programs last met at NCAA Sweet 16 on March 19, 1998, where UTES provided a 65-62 victory in Anaheim, California. Their previous meetings include matches in the Kentucky Invitation Tournament in 1976, the 1974 Utah classic, the 1961 Los Angeles classics, the 1956 Dixie classics in Ralei and 1947 NIT in Madison Square Garden. This game marks the first of its kind visit to Utah in Morgantown.
