Job hunting can often be a difficult, tedious task, and finding an employee isn’t always a walk in the park either, but it can be a short trip for both employers and job seekers who take advantage of the Fremont Area Chamber’s Upcoming Fair of Commerce’s Drive-Thru labor.
The idea is that on Oct. 30, job seekers can drive through the parking lot of Walnut Radio, 1746 E. 23rd Ave N, and pick up a packet from chamber staff filled with job opportunities from local businesses looking to hire .
“The Drive-Thru Job Fair makes it easy to connect job seekers and employers,” said Chamber President and CEO Brenda Wilberding. “Job seekers can learn about job openings without even getting out of their car, and employers share their information with multiple applicants quickly and easily.”
With the event just over a week away, the chamber is looking for more businesses to add to its job portfolio.
Any business looking to hire can potentially see their job postings out of hundreds of prospective employees.
There is a $50 fee for businesses that want to participate, and each business must provide 300 flyers describing their open positions. Businesses will also have the opportunity to record a 60-second radio clip about their available job opportunities, which will air on Walnut Radio stations such as Big Dog, 98.9 KHUB-FM and The Best Mix, 105.5 KFMT-FM.
Interested businesses are asked to contact Wilberding at [email protected].
Interested job seekers need only show up at the Drive-Thru Job Fair in the Walnut Radio parking lot, 1746 E. 23rd Ave. N, on Wednesday, October 30, from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. or 4 to 6 p.m.
