The Fredericksburg Nationals will be looking for a new manager for the 2025 season and beyond after it was confirmed Monday that manager Jake Lowery will now manage High-A with the Wilmington Blue Rocks.
This news was first reported on Sunday by The Nats Report on social media and was further confirmed on Monday as Lowery updated his Linkedin account to reflect the change.
Lowery managed the FredNats the last three seasons, starting in 2022, went to the playoffs twice and won his first league title as a coach this season when Fredericksburg won the Carolina League over Kannapolis.
He also surpassed 200 career wins with Fredericksburg during the 2024 season.
This is now his second promotion in the Washington Nationals system after moving up from the Florida Complex League in 2022. He managed two seasons in the FCL before his three-year stint in Fredericksburg.
