The road will open again in late spring after repairs end
Frederixburg – The Ministry of Transport of Virginia will close Road 601 (Bush Mill Road) in Northumberland County Wednesday, February 12 for repair.
Bush Mill Road will be closed between the 604 road (a dangerous device) and a route 611 (Gilliams Road) in the Heathsville area to allow crews to repair the box of the box.
This is one of the many structures undergoing repairs as part of the $ 3.1 million maintenance project in the northern neck and the Middle Peninsula to deal with the scourge. Removal is the soil erosion around the base of a tower or bridge.
The published tasting route is nearly seven miles. Signs will be installed to target drivers to the following routes:
- Route 604 (Dangerous Device)
- Route 201 (court road)
- Route 611 (Gilliams Road)

Drivers are encouraged to use the most convenient alternative route depending on their destination.
The messages will be published tomorrow, January 29 to warn travelers to close the road.
The road is expected to open again in early June, with time allowing.
Approximately 300 vehicles per day of Bush Mill Road, according to the latest number of VDOT traffic.
