Cebu City, Philippines-Cebuano Duathlon Protégé Franklin Ferdie Yee made an impressive debut as a member of the National Team of Philippine, providing a final in the elite men’s category in the Asian Triathling Championship in 2025.
Competing against some of the best duals in Asia in the Sprint Duathlon competition, Yee proved its metal, with 1 hour, 17 minutes and 15 seconds, throwing Japan Reo Ishizi, which ended at 1:17:19, sixth.
Musa Karich of Bahrain claims the championship with a time of 1:1:1:00, followed by Moroccan Mohammed Nemsi (1:16:21), China Judia Tong (1:16:45) and Poland Crisistof Hadas (1:16:58).
College of Philippine Duatlett Maynard Pekson finished ninth at 1:17:43, while John Siron was ranked 11th at 1:17:58. Raymund Tario (1:18:50) and John Leerams Chicano (1:22:49) rounded the Philippine team respectively in the 14th and 19th place.
The Philippine Women’s Team also gave a strong performance, with the merry joy the corpse emerging as the best finish of the country, claiming second place at 1:29:16, just behind the champion, China Ziqing Lu (1:28:24).
The gold medalist of many southeastern Asian games (Seag) Kim Mangobang provided a finish on the catwalk at 1:33:14, while Bea Quiambao (1:35:59) and Jena Valdez (1:41:00) placed fifth and seven , respectively.
