Las Vegas, Nev. (FOX5) – The warning system for the wrong way of warning has lifted a driver at Kyle Canyon, who climbed 95 to the north, pointing the wrong road south. A video dated December 9, 2023 shows the car that passes several more cars on the output ramp. Later, he collided with two more cars at 95 in Elhorn. The driver, in the wrong way, 50-year-old Antony Apton, died, as well as a man in another car, 63-year-old Karen Foot. Three -year -old Jaya Brooks of Las Vegas also died in a third car.

Jaya Brooks’ grandmother, Andrea Rani, says the video was difficult to watch.

“I was angry. I wanted to jump there and take all her tires out. I was angry. I couldn’t keep one thought straight in my head after that, “Andrea Rani said.

Fox5 News received the video from NDOT after a public record request. Ndot send video from other system cameras in the wrong way. Video shows cars that pass the wrong way, Skye Canyon Park Drive warning signs on the output ramp. Then they continued to drive and reached 95 in the wrong direction, in some cases. But the video also shows vehicles that turn on an output ramp and do not get 95 in the wrong way.

Another video video shows a driver who went past the flashing wrong ways of Avenue Starr Avenue and made it on the I-15 in the wrong direction. It is not known what happened after the cars entered the I-15 and 95 go in the wrong direction.

Andrea Rani says she wants people to pay attention and be careful when driving.

“You have a split second, maybe even less than to make a decision that can adversely or positively affect people’s lives,” Rani said.

After looking at the video, Rani says she would like to see the flashing lights on the back of the warning signs in the wrong way. In this way, not only the wrong way the drivers see them, but also the drivers who approach the wrong way the driver. Rani says she would also like to see additional flashing warning signs before the output ramp, so people can take the next exit and hope to avoid the driver in the wrong way.

Rani also says that driving around the valley can be confusing. She says that if someone sees something that is confusing or danger, report it to the authorities so that it can be addressed.

Ndot has the wrong path warning alert is registered in the US 95/I-11 in Durango, as well as ask Kyle and Sky Canyon and Starr Avenue on I-15. Ndot plans to place another 12 driver warning systems from Las Vegas driver in the Spaghetti Cup to the Summerlin area.

Ndot does not have the total number of drivers who either turned or did it on the highway the wrong way in these areas. But it is said that the pilot program in 2020, most of all, in North Nevada, caused 87 percent of drivers and then traveling in the right direction when they were confronted with the wrong way of warning signs.
