Former Seattle Pitcher Mariner has signed Logan Gilbert as a starter to open – Sports Illustrated

Seattle Marinors’ staff is the power of the team and will continue to be in the near future.

Mariners have three All-Star starters in the team (George Kirby, Louis Castillo, Logan Gilbert) and two more beginners with the same potential (Brian Wo, Brace Miller).

Seattle has a disturbance of a piking staff that can help the club model the rotation in every line that feels. But there is a question of who will be the launch day of opening against athletics on March 27.

Castillo was a starter for the opening of Marinors in 2023 and 2024. The three-time All-Star was more than capable of continuing this role in 2025, but a former owner of Seattle (and the newly appointed television presenter) Rayan Rowland-Smith signed the ace of rotation , Gilbert, as a starter for the opening day.

Rowland-Smith appeared on the Bump & Stacy show of Seattle Sport 710 on February 14 and explained why he believed that Gilbert should be a starter for the opening of March 27.

“It must be Logan. It must be Logan Gilbert,” said Rowland-Smith. “… It’s hard and it’s important, I’m telling you right now. A team.”

Gilbert finished 2024 with 3.23 ERA and struck 220 flowing in 208.2 passes, transferred to 33 starts. He made his first All-Star game last year and finished sixth in American League Cy Young Got.

Castile had 3.64 ERA and ignited 175 flowing in 175.1 in 30 starts.

Gilbert led Marinrs to the submission, threw and hit, and had a perception of the staff # 1, although he was not the first pitcher in the rotation.

Castile is probably the most respected veteran on the list and is the highest-paid owner in the team so far.

Any solution would be good for Seattle. But, as Rowland-Smith said in his comments, the Gilbert season may be impossible to ignore. And this can lead to the fact that it occupies the leading place in the rotation.
