BATON ROUGE, La. (BRPRUD) — Three single mothers in Florida now have a home for the first time with the help of Habitat for Humanity and former Catholic football star Warrick Dunn.
Dunn, who is the founder of Warrick Dunn Charities, was there when Nisbel P., Keyonda M. and Miranda S. arrived at their new homes. They each received a $5,000 assistance check and $10,000 worth of home furnishings from Aaron’s.
Nisbel P. has two children and a baby on the way. She is “looking forward to having that peace of mind knowing that her family has a place where they can feel safe and be themselves,” according to a news release.
Keyonda M. has a 19-year-old, a 10-year-old and a 3-year-old. According to the news release, “she knows this home will enable her family to dream big and reach for the stars.”

Miranda S. has a 13-year-old, a 4-year-old and a 3-year-old. She is “thrilled that each of her children will have their own room and space to grow and learn,” according to the press release.
Warrick Dunn Charities has already participated in 232 housewarming parties.
