Birmingham, Ala. (WBRC) – The city of Birmingham is focused on dealing with violence crime, especially killings with city leaders and police, which are deploying a number of plans to reduce crime.
As for these strategies, there is a general excitement in the work among BPD and submission officers, according to the Birmingham Brotherly Order of Police.
FOP said the special BPD implementation team composed of 14 members hits the streets along with the crime suppressant department and brings out dangerous criminals from the streets, along with weapons.
FOP Deangelo Hall President says there has been the feeling that the police have been handcuffed for a long time, so to speak and is not allowed to do his job. He says an example is policy without persecution.
Now Hall feels that what is happening within the BPD has a positive effect of reduction among officers, especially in specialized units for execution.
“You get a group of motivated officers who want to influence the change in the community. You import these 14 boys and now you have those 14 guys working as one unit, one team. Now this is becoming something that is contagious in the department. So, you will have other guys in the area who want to join, wanting to be part. So now this will extend throughout the city of Birmingham, “said Hall, President of the Birmingham Police Lodge Fraternity.
According to the living room, at least 50 suspected criminals were removed from the streets in January, which are partly due to these specialized crime suppression units, with more arrests expected.
