SPRINGFIELD, Va. – Join us for the Food for Life vegan brunch on Sunday, November 3 from 3:30 to 5:30 p.m. at the Huber Building, 80 Main Street in Springfield, Vt. It’s time to go back inside and we’re thankful they have a handicap accessible space. These things are a great way to meet people and build a community. Why vegan? Anyone can eat plant foods, but people who don’t eat animal products don’t find much they can eat in regular manjis. Eating only plants lowers cholesterol, lowers saturated fat and increases fiber and a wide range of nutrients, so it’s healthier for us overall. It’s also healthier for the planet. Growing plants for food reduces the production of methane and nitrous oxide, greenhouse gases that are much more powerful than carbon dioxide, uses less open land and fewer fossil fuels than growing plants for food animals for food on people. You don’t have to be vegan to enjoy these sweets. Just bring something to share that contains only plant and mineral ingredients and be prepared to enjoy the delicious foods that people bring.
